#dumptrump? Apparently not everyone in Vancouver thinks so. Both Trump supporters and opponents were out in full force during the Trump International Hotel & Tower Vancouver official opening. Here are a few comments from both sides during the event.

The wonder product of the backcountry.
Thanks to The Camera Store for sponsoring me for this project and putting a Fuji X100T in my hands. I couldn't have documented this iconic event in mountain film without this camera and their help. A more in depth review of my time with the X100T can be found here. The 2015 Banff Mountain Film Festival is currently on a world tour at a venue near you.
I'm happy to announce that I have been named the newest photographer to the Berkeley, California based Survival Media Agency (SMA). SMA is a global team of media-makers working to bring attention to the climate change movement around the world. I am sincerely looking forward to contributing my skills and attention to such a great organization and cause. More info on Survival Media Agency here.

A little bit of a view from behind the curtain at Roger's Arena last night.
Canucks vs Flames, Game 1.
As the weather gets better and better and biking replaces skiing, here's a little animation I put together of Vancouver cyclocross from last fall.
My brother Viktor recently underwent brain surgery in Vancouver to remove a tumour that was causing seizures and generally just being a pest in that old skull of his. Thankfully, post-surgery, my bro and our family can breathe a sigh of relief as all systems seem to be working just fine, but at the time we didn't really know if all would be right. Big shout out to one of Canada's best brain doctors , Brian Toyota, for expertly and compassionately guiding my brother and our family through the entire process.
Cape Town's Green Renaissance has been an ongoing inspiration to me during the last few years as I work more with video. They have the uncanny ability to cut straight to the heart and really illustrate the connection between humans and nature.
Happy to work with photographer Kamil Bialous to photograph Michel Laberge, CEO and plasma physicist at General Fusion for the Globe and Mail's Report on Business magazine. At General Fusion Laberge and his team are building a prototype fusion reactor that mimics the processes of the sun to produce cheap, clean and abundant energy.
Can't argue with that.
